Andøya Space Defence

The area surrounding Andøya, and the already established infrastructure for civilian sounding rocket operations, enables Andøya Space to perform complex tests of weapon systems. Our test history spans back to the Norwegian Penguin missile of the 80’s.

With a danger area of 25 000 square kilometers, and a low-density airspace, Andøya Space can support operations not possible to conduct anywhere else.

End-to-end testing and full-scale operational training exercises

Our test range spans 25 000 square kilometers, and that enable us to do missions not possible to conduct anywhere else.

Test range infrastructure

The test range infrastructure is highly mobile, and we build the test range according to the requirements of each mission to maximize coverage.

Target services

A successful training exercise requires actual targets to engage.
