About our educational services
Andøya Space is a national center for space-related education. We inspire children in kindergarten, primary school pupils, and university students with our educational programs that emphasize creativity, engagement, and a desire to explore.
The organization is built on a pedagogical platform with a clear learning philosophy, didactic guidelines, and a focus on individual learning outcomes.
Andøya Space has a national mandate through the Ministry of Knowledge and receives a basic grant which enables us to offer activities for pupils, teachers as well as student teachers and teacher training institutions. In addition, we offer several activities aimed at university students in collaboration with our partners.
Ever since the year 2000, thousands of pupils and students have been inspired, gained increased motivation and mastery from coming to Andøya to learn about space travel, rockets and astronomy, and our staff travel all over the country with physics shows and exciting school projects on the menu.
Spaceship Aurora is our knowledge and experience centre and has been built to support the goal of creating excitement and interest in space for both course participants and tourists.
