In the period of March 20th–30th 2025, operational activities are planned to be conducted from the location of Andøya Spaceport. The activities will lead to periodic closure of road FV 7698, as well as restrictions for the areas in Børvågen. A maritime danger area will also be established.

In the period of March 20th–30th 2025, operational activities are planned to be conducted from the location of Andøya Spaceport. Related to these activities, various safety measures will be implemented. .
During the period, personnel from Andøya Spaceport will be present in the areas to provide information. We kindly ask that information provided by personnel from Andøya Spaceport is respected.

Safety sones and road closure
Safety zones have been defined and will be implemented for operational/test activities. The safety zones will be established and cleared by Andøya Spaceport personnel. Andøya Spaceport will utilize operators and cameras in terrain, along with drones to ensure a safe test flight. Read more about safety zones here.
Road closure
Road FV7698 can be closed between Nordmela community house and Nøss. Tentative time slot for periodic closure is 09:00–17:00 local time, in the period of March 20th to March 30th 2025. Detour route will be through FV 82. Read more about road closure here.

Maritime danger area
A maritime danger area will be established due to operational test activities from Andøya Spaceport. It is requested for all maritime traffic to take precautions for, and assist in keeping the area clear for this short time period.
Danger areas sent into BarensWatch will, when announced be in outlined in yellow, and changes to red 4-6 hours before planned activity. Danger area will turn back to yellow when the activity is done for the day and will be removed when the activity is no longer valid.
Period for when maritime can be activated is March 20th–30th, between 12:30–16:30 local time.

Noise
In connection with planned activities, there may be a short periods of increased noise level. This will be limited to a maximum duration of a few minutes.
Noice from the activities will be particularly noticeable in Nordmela and Nøss and may resemble a rumbling noise, or crackling and popping sounds. To ensure health, safety, and environmental protection, Andøya Spaceport will conduct continuous noise measurements during the activities.
