In June, Troels Sandreid will assume the role of president at Andøya Spaceport. With a robust background in aviation, Sandreid is poised to steer the development of Norway’s spaceport.
On June 1st, 2025, Troels Sandreid will take over the position as president of Andøya Spaceport from the current acting president, Ingrid Hanssen. He comes from the position of Airport Director at Bodø Airport and has also served as deputy CEO for Widerøe Technical Services.
– Andøya Spaceport is the most ambitious project in our company’s history, says Ketil Olsen, CEO of Andøya Space. – We’ve had a very rigorous selection process for this position, and I am very pleased that Troels now joins the Andøya Space team. With his background, we believe he is the best person to steer the development of the Norwegian spaceport.
Strong foundations and a tremendous potential
Andøya Spaceport recently completed its first operational campaign and is well underway with the planning of the next phase of expansion with additional launch pads.
