Andøya Space engages in industrial cooperation discussions with Hanwha Aerospace

Published:

Andøya Space participated in early industrial cooperation discussions with Hanwha Aerospace in April, following Norway’s selection of the Chunmoo Gungnir multiple rocket launcher system.

The meeting formed part of Hanwha Aerospace’s initial programme coordination with Norwegian industry and focused on Andøya Space’s potential role during the implementation phase of the Chunmoo programme. The discussions addressed coordination aspects and explored possible areas for future cooperation linked to system delivery and long‑term programme support.

The dialogue with Andøya Space took place alongside a broader series of kick‑off meetings held by Hanwha Aerospace with Norwegian defence and technology companies from 7–9 April, aimed at establishing industrial cooperation frameworks under the programme.

Gunnar Jan Olsen, Vice President of Business Development at Andøya Space, said, “We are pleased to have initiated discussions with Hanwha Aerospace and look forward to exploring potential areas of cooperation.”

Chunmoo Gungnir has been selected as Norway’s next‑generation long range precision fire system, with industrial participation forming a key element of the programme. Further work will build on these initial discussions as programme planning continues.
