Andøya Ground Station

The student satellite ground station was built in August 2008. The technical coordinator for ANSAT, as well as 6 students from the University of Oslo, built the station during a one week workshop. The station is a typical ground station, utilizing amateur radio frequencies for communication with student and amateur satellites. For future use, the station is aiming to be GENSO compatible. The station is located at 69° 18′ 55″N, 16° 7′ 50″E, and will be able to track 11-13 of the 14 daily passes of a polar orbiting satellite.
